Nestled beneath the scenic Furong (hibiscus flower) Peak and alongside the tranquil Chuyang (rising sun) Lake, the College of Art at Zhejiang Normal University traces its origins back to 1985, when it was founded as the Department of Art. As one of the pioneering institutions in Zhejiang Province to offer programs in music and the arts, the college has, over the past four decades, remained dedicated to its original mission. Drawing upon the strengths of a comprehensive teacher education university, it has flourished into a dynamic college offering programs in music, arts, theater, and dance. With a vibrant community of 1,708 undergraduate students, 778 postgraduates, and 6 international students, the college is committed to cultivating both outstanding educators and artistic talents. It serves as a premier platform for developing high-quality, high-caliber, and high-level talent in the arts, both within the province and across the nation.
