1. Overview
Our Dance program is a nationally recognized undergraduate major. This four-year program emphasizes teacher education and confers a Bachelor of Arts degree upon completion. It has been selected for the Ministry of Education’s pilot reform, which exempts teacher education students from the national qualification exams for primary and secondary school teaching. Upon successful completion of the university's teaching ability assessment, students are eligible to receive the Certificate of Qualification for Teacher Education Students, which is equivalent to passing the national teacher qualification exams, allowing them to directly apply for teacher certification.
2. Program Objectives
This major aims to develop application-oriented dance educators with advanced dance skills, a solid foundation in dance theory, and expertise in both teaching and choreography. Graduates are equipped to pursue careers in dance performance, teaching, research, and choreography in diverse settings, including primary and secondary schools, tertiary education institutions, social arts groups, art research institutions, cultural departments, broadcasting, film, and television sectors, as well as art education centers. Graduates are prepared to contribute to mass dance education, organization, and choreography within community cultural institutions and other social organizations.
