1. Overview
Our Fine Arts program is a nationally recognized undergraduate major. This four-year program emphasizes teacher education and confers a Bachelor of Arts degree upon completion. It has been selected for the Ministry of Education’s pilot reform, which exempts teacher education students from the national qualification exams for primary and secondary school teaching. Upon successful completion of the university's teaching ability assessment, students are eligible to receive the Certificate of Qualification for Teacher Education Students, which is equivalent to passing the national teacher qualification exams, allowing them to directly apply for teacher certification.
2. Program Objectives
The Fine Arts program follows a “1+X” cultivation model, where “1” represents a specialized professional development track, and “X” reflects the comprehensive skillset required to teach various fine arts disciplines in primary and secondary schools. The program is designed to cultivate exceptional art teachers with a deep understanding of art, strong professional ethics, and well-rounded teaching and research capabilities. Graduates are prepared to meet the evolving demands for fine arts talents in both primary and secondary education and broader social contexts.
3. Career Prospects
Graduates of the Fine Arts program have diverse career paths, including:
• Teaching fine arts in primary and secondary schools, as well as in tertiary education institutions;
• Creative, research, or advisory roles in professional organizations such as museums, cultural centers, and mass arts centers;
• Pursuing advanced academic degrees (Master’s or Ph.D.) domestically or internationally.
